Hi, I’m Gem—the owner of LeaVea Candles. I’m also a proud mom of two beautiful children, Leanne Ashley and Veanne Nicole, whose names inspired the name “LeaVea.” This is not only a business to me, but it’s a reflection of my love for family, creativity, and meaningful moments.

My candle-making journey began during the pandemic, a time when the world slowed down and we all found comfort at home. As my lavender plant began growing faster than I ever imagined, it sparked my curiosity. I started researching what I could create with its beautiful aroma, experimenting with candle recipes, and eventually attending candle-making workshops to deepen my skills. What began as a simple hobby soon turned into a true passion... and LeaVea Candles was born.

Each candle is handcrafted with love, care, and intention, using quality ingredients to create cozy, comforting scents for your home. My goal is to create candles that bring you peace, warmth, and a little moment of joy in your day.

We not only sell online but in person as well. As a family, you can find us almost every Saturday at the Old Beach Art & Eco Market. We also apply to other local markets throughout the year as we continue working toward making our name known in our community. Supporting local and small businesses means everything to us. We truly enjoy every market experience: meeting new customers, making new friends, and giving back to the community that supports us.

We are also incredibly grateful to have a kiosk located inside Painted Tree Boutiques (T59). This opportunity has helped our business grow by allowing us to showcase our full candle collection for everyone to see and enjoy. We deeply appreciate our loyal customers who continue to support us and come back time and time again. And this is just the beginning.
